SKINCARE MISTAKES YOU should Avoid

1. LEAVING MAKEUP ON OVERNIGHT

This is the Worst skincare routing. It will cause strong oil secretion in the skin and clogged pores. Dirt and makeup trapped in the skin can cause acne, open pores, blackhead, pimples, premature looking and so much more.

Solution: Take off ALL of your makeup every single night before your bed time with a makeup remover (alcohol free) and thoroughly cleanse your skin with the right cleanser until there’s not residue of makeup left. It might be hard to get into the habit, but just think about brushing your teeth every night, it is the essential.

2. OVERDOING IT WITH THE SKINCARE ROUTINE

It’s so important to have a good skincare routine that incorporates cleansing, exfoliating, and moisturising your skin (with the right products). But just like everything else in this world, you can’t overdo it.

The scrub is usually used to remove the dead skin cell, makes the skin glow. But if overdose it, your skin won’t be happy. You’ll start to break down your skin’s protective barrier, causing dry skin, as well as potential breakouts due to the exposure.

Solution: Exfoliate 1-2 times a week at most. In some case you mine need more, please consulting with your skincare professor.

3. TOUCHING YOUR FACE

One of the easiest and most common ways to get a breakout: constantly touching your skin. Our hands naturally secrete oils, which can easy transfer to the skin of our face when we’re touching it. Between touching the computer keyboard, turning door knobs, and shaking hands, our hands are also prone to carrying dirt and bacteria – a big no-no!

Solution: Stop touching your face! Be sure to wash (wipe) your hands on the regular to minimise the dirt transfer.

4. NOT CLEANING YOUR Mobile Phone

We’ve become so immune to bringing our phones with us everywhere, school, work, gym, bus, toilet, shop, that we forget just how many surfaces it’s touched before placing it upon our beautiful face …only to experience a breakout shortly after.

Solution: Get in the habit of wiping down your phone with a microfiber cloth, or a baby wipe. Just be careful not to damage your phone in the process. Another way to avoid those filthy cellphone germs on your face is to use your headphones to take calls.

5. SUN EXPOSURE

Ultraviolet rays are the main cause of skin photoaging! But even worse, too much unprotected sun exposure can lead to different types of skin cancer, which is why it’s extra important to wear sunscreen before going out into the sun.

Solution: Use a moisturiser that has SPF or foundation that has the UV-protection in it. But if you’re spending the day in the sun, find a SPF30+, and keep re-applying as SPF wears off in 2 hours or less, depending on the SPF number.

6. NEVER CLEANING YOUR MAKE-Up tools

When’s the last time you did a serious deep clean of your makeup brushes and sponges? Tons of oil, grease, and bacteria build up on your makeup brushes on the daily, so cleaning them on the regular is very important.

Solution: Weekly basis cleaning your brushes and sponges to avoid the break out. Alternative you can trying the disposable one.
